Itch Project: An Experimental Photographic Journey

The "Itch Project" documents an experimental journey through photography and digital manipulation, exploring ideas centered around texture, discomfort, and the hidden structures found in nature and the human form. Beginning with initial concepts like 'Eyes Weeping' and 'Rash,' the project evolved to focus heavily on the visual metaphor of 'veins' in leaves, roots, and hands. This involved extensive experimentation with original photography and post-processing in Photoshop, utilizing tools like Exposure, Hue/Saturation, Colour Balance, Opacity, and blending modes. Influenced by a range of photographers, the work demonstrates a process-driven approach to transforming source material and culminates in striking, manipulated images that push the boundaries of realism.
