Photographic Influences - Portrait, Still Life and Landscape

This project, "Photographic Influences," documents my research into influential photographers across the key genres of Landscape, Portrait, and Still Life. I explored the distinct styles and techniques of artists such as Sally Mann, Ansel Adams, Marcel Christ, David Bailey, Karl Blossfeldt, Suzanne Cummings, Philippe Halsman, David Hockney, and Annie Leibovitz. The goal was to understand their unique approaches to composition, light, subject matter, and post-processing. By analysing their work, I aimed to deepen my understanding of photographic expression and gather inspiration to inform and develop my own creative practice. This portfolio entry showcases my research findings and includes examples of how these diverse influences have begun to shape my own photographic experiments.
