This project, titled "Progress Ahead: Marketing & Enterprise Plan," involved the comprehensive development of a brand identity and promotional strategy for a new product. The core task was to create a viable market entry plan for a line of hats specifically targeting teenagers aged 11-18.
My work included in-depth research into various branding methods, such as the strategic use of logos, slogans, colour schemes, celebrity endorsements (like the consideration of Mr. Bean), and consistent product design. I analyzed the competitive landscape to identify a clear Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and defined key factors for ease of brand recognition within the target market.
A detailed promotional plan was devised, outlining strategies across social media and television advertising, chosen for their effectiveness in reaching the demographic. Financial aspects were also covered, including market research-based pricing (£15 retail, calculating profit margins), sales targets (aiming for 2000 units initially), and considering break-even points.
The project culminated in the preparation and delivery of a formal pitch to stakeholders, demonstrating the viability and potential success of the "Progress Ahead" brand. This process significantly enhanced my skills in market research, strategic branding, promotional planning, financial analysis, target audience identification, and professional presentation techniques.
